ALL THIS AND WWII
This is one of those bizarre cinematic concoctions that defies female viagra next day delivery logic and taste equally. A compilation of WWII film footage set to songs written by The Beatles – and performed by the likes of Elton John, The Bee Gees, Leo Sayer, Rod Stewart, Keith Moon, ELO’s Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood (Wizzard!), Peter Gabriel, Tina Turner, Lynsey DePaul (a mainstay on the British scene as both singer and songwriter, but barely known stateside, by name anyways) and others – the film was inspired by a weird dream exec producer Russ Regan overnight levitra had one night. Fox signed on to release this early example of a mash-up film, and rock documentarian Tony Palmer (200 Motels, All You Need is Love) was one of several people brought on to do research and editing,
Released in November of 1976 – nearly a decade too late to blame it on the LSD – the film lasted less than two weeks in the theatre before being yanked due to terrible reviews (and apparently no lesson was learned, based on the equally baffling release of the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band movie in 1978, starring The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton as the title characters).
Although 35mm prints of the film still exist, it has never been officially released on DVD – but you can find copies of it here and there on the bootleg circuit.
